We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our Combined Garage Sale last Saturday. While it was a little quieter than we had hoped, it was still a great day to clear out some treasures, meet new faces, and enjoy the sunshine.
Sunday afternoon brought a more relaxed pace with our Flower Arrangement Workshop.
A small group of ladies joined us to create beautiful floral displays in glass vases, followed by a lovely afternoon tea and a peaceful stroll through the patch. It’s always a pleasure to share these moments and create something beautiful together.
Garlic Planting – Trying Something New
This week, we planted our garlic, and after two seasons of less-than-ideal results, we’re going all in to make it work this time.
We started by enriching the soil with a generous amount of homemade compost, added BIOLINK bullets for extra nutrients, and even watered the cloves in to give them the best possible start.
Next week, we’ll finish the job by covering them with pea straw to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Hopefully, all this extra care will lead to a better yield this season!
Saturday at the Barn
We’re open from 11am to 5pm and will be serving a delicious selection of homemade food:
Coffee and cake
Farmer’s Wife Quiche with Beef Mince
Beef Patty with Potato Salad, Carrot Salad & Beetroot Salad
Zucchini Slice (Vegetarian)
Come by for a warm meal, a friendly chat, and a stroll through the patch. See you soon!
