A Week Full of Highlights and New Beginnings

This week kicked off with an exciting experience—a short stint on 3AW with Wendy Hargreaves! During my quick 7-minute segment, we covered a lot of ground, chatting about dairy farming, homeschooling, and our journey toward self-sufficiency. It was a whirlwind, and quite the memorable experience!

Monday brought a good drop of rain, much to the delight of the patch (and perhaps the weeds). The rain made pulling out those pesky weeds a bit easier, though it also seems to give them an easy head start.

We also sowed out the first batch of winter veggies. Hard to believe, but the cooler months are just around the corner!

Our $30 mixed veggie box deliveries to Camperdown and Cobden are now up and running every Wednesday.

If you’d like one, be sure to place your order by Tuesday at 9 PM. Spread the word to friends and family—we’d love to help bring fresh, local produce to more tables.

Mark your calendars: Sunday, 9th February, our veggie patch will be open to the public! Keep an eye out for more details soon.

For meat lovers, we have plenty of beef in the freezer from Old Township Farm. Just ask for details, and we’ll let you know what’s available.

At the Barn This Saturday (11–5):

• Coffee and cake

• Homemade sourdough wraps filled with hummus, mince, and fresh veggies (GF option available)

If you can’t make it to the Barn on Saturdays, you can still grab your fresh veggies by placing an order the night before your desired pickup day. Payment via direct deposit is available for your convenience.
